CAMP FACILITIES: We have 15 cabins, a Lodge, Health center, a corral, two bath houses, a volleyball pit, basketball court, and a amphitheater

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Roger begins each season with a week-long staff training to ensure staff are given all the tools to run quality programming and guide friend-making. All staff are First Aid and CPR certified.

Over the years we have welcomed campers from around Utah and the world for a memorable experience that will last a lifetime! Camp Roger is approximately one-hour from Salt Lake City, in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Camp Roger is an overnight camp with cabin groups of 8-10 boys or girls. Camp facilities include cabins, a lodge, basketball court, sand volleyball court, beaver pond, bike trails, horse trails, hiking trails, boy and girl bath houses, nature center, craft house, infirmary, and a large meadow great for running and group games.

The Camp Roger leadership programs are multiple week programs dedicated to transitioning teens into our future leaders. During their time at Camp Roger leadership campers will be learning what it means to be a leader, and the necessary skills and responsibilities involved.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The YMCA realizes that families have differing abilities to pay and has introduced a voluntary tiered pricing program to enable all families the opportunity for a quality camp experience for their children. This program is voluntary, requires no paperwork, and in no way influences the experience your child receives. Simply choose the rate that is appropriate for your family.

TIER A is based on the full cost of a child participating in camp programs. This rate reflects the actual cost of sending a camper to camp.

TIER B is a partially subsidized rate that will help families that cannot afford the full cost of the camp program.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Try It Out Camp-Out is held June 8-9, 4 pm-8 am followed by our public Annual Open House. This is the perfect opportunity for first-time campers who could benefit from a practice night at camp with their families. Bring your own tent and pitch in the field or claim a cabin! CAMP LOCATION: New bricks4kidz creativity center is located next to the new D.I. on the north, East corner.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Frames/stop motion animation. They will learn how to create a short film or a mini clip using cameras. Students will learn a new sotware program and will be able to use the drawing tools, add a background, text, transition, record narration, and export the animation.

Using LEGO bricks to create different scenarios students imagination and creativity will soar during this camp they will have so much fun, they will not realize how much they are learning.

Build your knowledge about the different types of foods we eat. We will be analyzing food labels and learning about how food affects our bodies. Learn about the differences between carbs, proteins, and fats. Discover what nutrients are important to our bodies. Put it all together by cooking a nutritious meal that provides the perfect balance of carbs, proteins, and fats.

DAY 3 – SUGAR, FAT, AND FAD DIETS
Not every food is beneficial for the body. Test your knowledge about sugar and fat through a fun game. Learn about different diets and the benefits and disadvantages of each. Afterwards, participants will prepare a meal made from foods that protect our bodies and keep us healthy and happy.

DAY 4 – IMPROVE YOUR DIET
How can we make our diets better? During this lesson, you will analyze your own diet and think about ways you can make it better. The majority of this lesson will be spent in the kitchen creating a variety meals. We will focus on cooking foods for breakfast, lunch, dinners, and snacks.

They are both Harvard-educated and their 5 children were the inspiration behind the creation of this revolutionary new summer program

Brain Chase is a 6-week summer learning challenge disguised as a massive global treasure hunt for 2nd−8th graders. A golden globe has been buried somewhere on earth – and it contains the key to a safe deposit box holding a $10,000 college scholarship fund. Participants who complete an hour of online summer learning activities each day will unlock secret animated webisodes that hold the clues to the globe’s whereabouts. Guess the treasure’s location first, and you’ll be the one on a plane to dig it up.

Enrollment is limited to the first 5,000 entrants.

AlphaStar Academy mainly considers teaching, competition, and education background as well as passion and dedication for the subject when hiring full-time and part-time teachers.

We hire our instructors and TAs from a pool of High School, College, Ph.D. students, school teachers, and University Professors. Our faculty have teaching/coaching/tutoring experience and have expertise in the subject area, regardless of their age.

They have participation and/or training experience in national/international math competitions and Olympiads in Math, CS, and Physics such as USAMO, USACO, USAPhO, IMO, IOI, and IPhO.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: AlphaStar Academy is offering Math Scholarships to help young mathletes excel further and achieve their true potential in math.

In 2021, up to $40,000 will be given as course credit. Each winner can use $2,000 course credit for online AlphaStar Math courses/camps for one year.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Come to BYU July 11–16, talk with local and nationally recognized authors, get your writing reviewed by your peers, meet and work with BYU English department faculty, stay in BYU campus housing, get your books signed by acclaimed authors and illustrators, take unique small-group writing courses, and spend a week with other students who love young adult literature and want to see their name on a cover, like you.

SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: We are committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified.
