CAMP FACILITIES: Boise State University has beautiful dorms and several dining choices. We utilize the campus Recreational center for bowling, basketball and much more. We tour the huge campus and various academic departments as part of our exploration!
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our 2018 camps at Boise State University campus provide extensive resources, technology experts, and a 1:8 student to facilitator ratio enabling students to develop thoughtful and complex projects. Providing overnight camps on college campus in dorms invites youth from rural areas to participate in a college readiness experience not available anywhere else in Idaho. We offer scholarships for underserved students and transportation to and from camp for families outside the greater Treasure Valley area. It is our intent to reach those from rural areas so cost and transportation will not be considered an obstacle for students applying.
Our camps are based near our headquarters in Boise at Boise State University campus and provide overnight (4th-11th) and/or day (2nd-4th) experiences on the beautiful, prestigious college campus with housing in the dorms and meals on campus. Students explore, reflect and create with technology (STEM) in areas of their own interests during camps. Courses include: Moviemaking with iPads and Game design.
Outside of class time we will be balancing learning with plenty of outdoor activities that will continue to challenge and excite our students while also making sure that they are exposed to a variety of experiences. For example: Activities with the UnBound library, Maker Lab, Discovery Center, Engineering department tours and Jump Time!
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We have a limited number of scholarships available on a first come first served basis.

CAMP FACILITIES: Alpengirl campers sleep in 3-4 person backpacking style tents, we practice outdoor living, cooking, and leave no trace skills. A majority of our campsites have bathroom and running water and are located in gorgeous wilderness settings in mountains, next to fresh water streams, at by pristine lakes.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Alpengirl Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and has a staff to camper ratio of 1:4 or 1:6. Our camp is highly supervised with small groups of 12 girls led by 2-3 adult female role model Alpenguides. Alpenguides average age is 26 and all have certifications in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Alpengirl is a multi-adventure camp, we offer a variety of adventure activities in each session. They are both Harvard-educated and their 5 children were the inspiration behind the creation of this revolutionary new summer program
Brain Chase is a 6-week summer learning challenge disguised as a massive global treasure hunt for 2nd−8th graders. A golden globe has been buried somewhere on earth – and it contains the key to a safe deposit box holding a $10,000 college scholarship fund. Participants who complete an hour of online summer learning activities each day will unlock secret animated webisodes that hold the clues to the globe’s whereabouts. Part-Time Enthusiastic Teachers for Afterschool, Field Trip, and Summer Enrichment
Challenge Island is hiring fun, smart, enthusiastic instructors to teach an exciting STEM enrichment program with a distinct Island flair!
*This position is perfect for college or graduate students, retired teachers and stay-at-home moms seeking to supplement income. Teaching experience IS required.
*Challenge Island will train qualified instructors in our unique program and teaching philosophy.
*All supplies and lesson plans are provided. The materials are comprehensive, fun, and exciting.
*Classes are held at local elementary schools, rec centers, parks, etc.
*Challenge Island teaching positions are highly selective position, but if you do become a part of our tribal leader team the rewards are enormous!
Requirements:
*Must be passionate about educating children and have experience teaching preschool or elementary age children.
*Must have reliable transportation.
* Must live within a reasonable distance of the Boise, Eagle, Meridian area
*Must be able to pass a Criminal Background.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a retreat center that has 34 beds total best for smaller retreats and family camps. Our main lodge is our dinning room and kitchen down stairs as well as four 10 bed rooms, one 6 bed room, one 8 bed room, and two bathroom upstairs. we have a total of five 6 bed cabins, one 20 bed cabin, one 8 bed cabin, and one 3 bed cabin. Our office also has 3 rooms for our speakers, cook, and camp pastors/their family. Our chapel hold 100 people. we also have a large playing field as well as playground.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp program is counselor based in that everything we offer can be initiated by our counselors so that relationships can be built towards campers. we provide activity classed for our youth camps and elective free time actives as well. from volleyball, basketball, disc golf, slip-n-slide, and our nature center with live animals we have something for everyone to enjoy.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: This summer, MNOHS music teacher Erin Winchell and MNOHS media arts teacher Michael Wiechmann are teaming up to lead an exciting, intensive online learning experience. Youth will meet online in real time to develop video projects, show their work, and give and receive feedback. Projects include a 30-second commercial and a 10-minute short film, documentary, or stop action.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Youth should plan to be online 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. weekdays, and to work ten additional hours per week on their projects. Most of the scheduled time is for projects but some of it will be for meetings.
Required equipment: A tablet or phone with a front-facing camera. A video camera or DSLR camera will also work.
