CAMP FACILITIES: Our camps take place in our theater and surrounding spaces. We have a mainstage, a green room/rehearsal room with mirrors, and some outdoor rehearsal space. We also share space with the Foster City Recreation department, and a local school.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Hillbarn Theatre Conservatory, formed in 2000, is a theatre arts education program serving the needs of youth and adolescents, ages 4-18, in Foster City and the mid-peninsula area.

• An in-depth, training ground for young people who want to learn any aspect of theatre and performance.

• Valuable life skills, gaining, confidence in a professional, supportive environment. The need for artistic experience, whether as audience or artist, is universal.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Education Encounters camps are fun camps that foster a child’s love of learning. Based around history themes, these small thematic camps make history come alive by integrating history with science and art. Depending on the week, the children will hear myths, make "cat mummies", design shields, explore printmaking, fire catapults, build structures, or go on a field trip to the Egyptian Museum.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Each month kids (K-6th) have their own special evening of kids activities while their parents have some quality time for themselves. Dinner included. CAMP FACILITIES: Residential students will be staying at the campus dorms, eating at the campus cafeteria. All activities and classes will be held on-campus.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The faculty consists of renowned lecturers, veterans in International Mathematical Olympiads (IMO) and Olympiad coaches, who have successful careers in math, science, and technology, with many years of classroom teaching experiences. Among them are: Dr. Kevin Wang, founder of Areteem and Math Zoom, former IMO China Team member, former math faculty at UC Irvine and UCLA; Dr. Harold B. Reiter, math professor at UNCC, who is very well known and well respected in math education and math competitions. The camp curriculum will cover some or all of the following topics: For Math: Modular arithmetic, Numbers and their digits & divisors, Basic and advanced counting strategies, Combinatorics, Polynomials and their coefficients & zeros, Algebraic inequalities and other techniques, Special angles and regular polygons, Centers of triangles, Collinearity and concurrency, Trigonometry, Vector and Coordinates.

Various problem solving techniques will be introduced, as well as Math contest strategies. For Science: Scientific research methodologies, principles in mechanics, electricity and magnetism, optics, thermodynamics, etc., and real world applications such as roller coaster theory (you can learn to design your own roller coaster and build it at the camp!). For English as Second Language (ESL) students, there are also topics related to American culture and literature.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Dig in to summer and explore nature, ecology, art and conservation in this super fun day camp inspired by the exhibition Earth Matters. Eat mud pie, learn about plants and animals at the UCLA Mildred Mathias Botanical Garden, play with clay, go on scavenger hunt adventures, wear mud, create art from nature and experiment with movement and sound. Dirt has never been so exciting!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Levels: There will be four levels at the camp: MathCounts/AMC-8, AMC10/12, AIME, and USAMO.

Curriculum: Each week will be devoted to one of the four main areas. The focus will be on Number Theory and Algebra/Analysis in Period-I and Geometry and Combinatorics in Period-II.

The students will be equipped with necessary background in lectures and trained with different types of problems to master various problem solving techniques. The classes are problem solving-based whose curriculum is aligned with prestigious national and international competitions. They provide a motivational and challenging environment for students.

CAMP FACILITIES: This is a day and residential camp for interested students.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Levels: There will be four levels at the camp: Programming, USACO Bronze, USACO Silver, and USACO Gold. During the camp, adjustments can be made to the level (depending on space availability) if faculty and student agree that a different level would be more beneficial to the student. Maximum capacity for each class is 16. Our small class size lets us have different learner groups in the same class (ex. beginner, inter, advanced). Each group may different topics and problems based on their level.

We would like to maximize student potential so that we don't limit student learning with lecturing-to-all style teaching. In this way, students can proceed on their own paces. Curriculum: The students will be equipped with necessary background in lectures and trained with different types of problems to master various problem solving techniques.

The classes are problem solving-based and the curriculum is aligned with USA Computing Olympiad (USACO). Lectures are given by A* Faculty and other instructors who have participation and/or training experience in national/internationals Olympiads such as USACO and International Olympiads in Informatics.

CAMP FACILITIES: One in-person camp will be held at the Georgetown Public Library in July 2025, located in Sussex County, DE.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Beginner coding skills are taught helping children learn sequencing and terms that grown up coders use everyday to create video games and more. Math and Science activities engage your child in learning and our ARTS program helps students understand how computer artists work in the field.

These tracks are campers' concentration for each session. All instruction takes place in small group lessons and is led by experienced and enthusiastic female musicians, producers, artists, and teachers.

MEALS
Food, glorious food! All meals are delicious and included. Breakfast is typically served between 7:00–8:00 am; lunch is around 12:00 pm; and dinner is usually around 6:00 pm. This is subject to change, so please keep your ears perked throughout the day for announcements to make sure you don’t miss a meal. We offer both vegan and omnivore options and healthy snacks are available throughout the day.

SPECIAL GUEST ARTIST PERFORMANCES
Every session, a different band plays a live set for the girls and then sticks around for an intimate Q&A. In our end of program survey this was a major highlight for the girls. They learned about different genres of music and had a fun time listening to the bands and getting to engage in meaningful discussions with the visiting artists.

FINAL SHOWCASE
At the end of the session, all campers show off their original work at the Final Showcase for the whole camp community!

THE FACILITY
Amplify Sleep Away Camp is very proudly in residence at Besant Hill School. Set in the mountains of Ojai, California, this amazing facility boasts one of the best views in Ventura County. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA Camp is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. A week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp location, YEA is designed to be a fun and transformative experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues.

Campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, animal rights) and at YEA they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue long after camp is over. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students will be introduced to a simple engineering process based on these five steps: Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve, and Ask. Students not only learn science principles, but they will create robots that move objects, find their own way around obstacles, play soccer, respond to light or motion, navigate through a maze, and even challenge other robots. Working in pairs, students will start with simple structures and then begin to make a robot through intermediate levels of construction, proper use of blocks, motors, mainboard, IR sensors and remote control.

Student�s imaginations will soar as they discover the endless possibilities. This summer program will culminate with their own designed robot for presentation.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Robot Edutainment is looking for Moms, Students, Recent Graduates, and Any Individual interested in teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in after-school programs in the Los Angeles area.

Teachers will be using robot kits to teach children in grades 3 - 6 how to assemble structures, introduction in electronics, and programming the robots in a curriculum designed to immerse children in concepts of mathematics, science, and engineering.

We surround you with a network of like-minded individuals to share ideas and a population of kids who are eager to learn from you. We also provide initial training on both how to instruct and Robotics, Computers and GUI Programming.

CAMP FACILITIES: MODERN FACILITY: Broadway Gymnastic School is a stateof-the-art gymnastics and children’s fitness facility offering all equipment used in the Olympics as well as trampolines, mini tramp, tumble trak, creative obstacle courses and the zip-line (a favorite among our campers). We also have an activity room, lunch room, arts & crafts room, dance studio and free wi-fi.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our spectacular gymnastics and sports camp incorporates exercise and education into a fun-filled day program. Gymnastics is paired with a variety of sports, arts, drama, field trips, and an exciting array of activities captivates all ages until the camper goes home at 12:30 or 3pm. Before and after care is available and can be arranged at registration.

ACTIVITIES/TRIPS: Gymnastics is the foundation of our 2015 fitness day camp activities. Ball sports, swimming, arts and crafts, drama, music and dance round out the curriculum. We are also known for our educational field trips: Kid Concepts, Whale Watching, Sky Zone, Aquarium of the Pacific, California Science Center and Adventureplex.

Dance, music, art and science activities are scheduled throughout the summer. Campers get the chance to try new activities, discover new talents and gain confidence in themselves. Other special themed days include Bring- A-Friend Day, Karaoke, bounce houses, zip-lining, plus Water Days filled with water balloon activities and swimming adventures. At the end of each week BGS will host a Friday Night Traffic Jam Party from 3-3:30pm!

EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS: Your child’s day will begin with gymnastics. Our training emphasizes the educational as well as the physical benefits of gymnastics such as concentration, self-discipline, psychological and emotional development, social adjustment and artistic expression. Camp programs designed by the Cates are applauded by parents for the educational benefits, safety standards and enjoyment their children receive during the program. J.T. has been an integral part of the Camp program for many years, he has a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Connecticut and has had an accomplished career in the Theatre on Broadway.

Camp staff have backgrounds in child development, physical education, psychology and recreation as well as gymnastics. All staff are first aid & USAG certified. Broadway’s first rate staff & our commitment to our students makes certain all campers get the most out of each day!

COMPETITIVE TRAINING: An innovative summer training program has been designed for our pre-competitive and competitive gymnasts. World-class coaches train boys and girls for all levels of competition. Videotaping, dance and gymnastic related outings are planned for enrichment and cross training. We welcome competitive gymnasts who are vacationing in Los Angeles to join us.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We created our Coach in Training (CIT) program for children ages 10-15 years as a way to transition older campers. It is an excellent opportunity for campers to gain valuable work experience and foster responsibility.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Our spectacular gymnastics and sports camp incorporates exercise and education into a fun-filled day program. Gymnastics paired with other sports as well as art, drama, fieldtrips, and swimming ensures children will get the most out of each day. Camp begins at 9am and is filled with an exciting array of activities to captivate all ages until the camper goes home at 12:30 or 3pm. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer is the perfect time to catch up and get ahead! At PRIDE Learning Center we offer a fantastic summer camp to give students a giant boost in their weakest areas. Our summer program is the most popular program of the year! PRIDE'S teachers are all credentialed and certified in Orton-Gillingham methodology.

This intensive one-on-one reading and writing program utilizes our multi-sensory, phonemic, Orton-Gillingham approach that we at PRIDE Learning Center are experts at. This program helps students in a way that a regular summer school program would not. Students progress one entire reading level in 4-5 weeks!

CAMP FACILITIES: Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is a day camp that builds camp programming in at the park and we have field trips in the community to the beach and other local Southern California attractions.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is accredited by the American Camp Association, and offers 7 weeks of summer day camps in Huntington Beach for children with mild to moderate difficulties behaviorally, emotionally or socially.

Children who participate in Quest programming often have diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety, Asperger's Disorder, depression, learning disabilities and/or social problems.

Quest Camps provide:

1) Individualized behavior plans;
2) Group therapy four times per week;
3) Occupational therapy services to assist children in building their skills in self-regulation, sensory processing, motor skill development and bilateral coordination;
4) A 6 to 1 camper to staff ratio;
5) Parent meetings with home therapeutic goal development;

Quest utilizes a comprehensive therapeutic system that provides a treatment plan individualized for each child. By observing the child in camp activities throughout the day, our staff is able to see how problems present themselves.

Jodie Knott, Ph.D., camp director and licensed clinical psychologist, coordinates the Quest treatment program. She has created and facilitated therapeutic, experiential learning interventions for children for over 12 years and specializes in the assessment and treatment of attention and learning disorders, in addition to mood disorders.

Quest staff is trained to provide positive intervention to teach new, constructive behaviors. Counselors provide verbal support for accomplishments and directions for areas of improvement. By developing an open and nurturing environment where children feel accepted and respected, campers make positive changes because they feel safe to try new behaviors.

We are very proud at Quest to now have evidence-based research that supports what parents and professionals have seen for over twenty years! During the summer of 2008, 155 families participated in an independent research study by Lisa Greenberg to measure the effectiveness of Quest's therapeutic program. The results demonstrated treatment benefits rarely seen in psychological programs. Quest was found to provide effective individualized treatment for children 6-18 years old with mild to moderate behavioral, emotional and/or social problems.

Significant reductions in hyperactivity, impulsivity, aggression and inattention were found, along with improvements in peer relations, family relations, athletic competency, behavioral control and self-esteem. Behavioral problems were found to decrease not only at camp, but also at home, school and everyday life.

Children who come to Quest struggling to make friends, handling frustration and conquering their fears, leave with increased self-esteem and improved peer and family relationships. Their fears and frustrations are reduced and behavioral problems become less influential in their lives.

In addition, Quest parents have consistently rated Quest highly. Specifically, rating very high satisfaction with the overall summer program, quality of staff, individualized goals and behavior ratings, campers' enjoyment, and the ability to keep their child's interest.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. Stage Door Conservatory nurtures the social, emotional and intellectual development of children using by the performing arts as a vehicle of learning. AN ENSEMBLE and CONSERVATORY PHILOSOPHY

Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE are ensemble-based programs. During our first weeks together, we will encourage our young actors to collaborate in the creative process together and to appreciate and support one another as persons and performers. We will emphasize the unique importance of each child who is a part of our production, whether they are performing in a lead role or as a member of our ensemble. Because we are a conservatory, in addition to rehearsing and performing in a high caliber production, children participate in every aspect of our production, from costuming, to set-design, to props development.

Kimble has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Music Education from Jackson State University. He has served as the facilitator for classes that focused on learning problem solving skills as a tool for 6th graders which helps them see the value in goal setting, learning social skill sets and to focus on behavior management using music therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation methods

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Music Technology Mentors Innovative Music Technology Afterschool Enrichment Program, you’ll focus on the creative, often experimental, blending of music and technology. CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief Description: Camp counselors at Pali Adventures are responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of campers. They supervise campers in a cabin setting, at mealtimes, and during activities. Counselors are in charge of facilitating activities throughout the day. Counselors work as a team to ensure all campers have a fun and memorable experience at camp. Counselors report directly to their Specialty Director and Group Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Exhibit characteristics of responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
 Complete the staff application and interview process.
 Attend staff training (May 30 – June 12) and all in-service trainings.
 Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/30/20.
 Desire and ability to work with children.

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. Our summer workshops are three weeks long and are available to teens ages 13-17 or adults over 18 years of age who want to gain real world experience by creating original digital content. All of our summer programs are built around the idea that storytelling is fun and collaborative. Our goal is to help you unleash your imagination by fostering creative innovations between our students, industry mentors and faculty.

Students form multidisciplinary teams that work together under industry mentorship to create cool, compelling and unexpected SHORT-FORM CONTENT. All students participate in our master class series on Wednesdays and Collaboration Labs on Fridays. Integrated teamwork, positive energy, a safe creative environment, state-of-the-art equipment and talent are some of our ingredients for success.

CAMP FACILITIES: The camp uses Castilleja School's wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities, including gymnasiums, art rooms, stage, swimming pool, fields and classrooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For more than 45 years, Casti Camp at Castilleja School has provided girls an all-day camp where fun, learning and friendships have been the focus. Casti Camp offers a range of age-appropriate activities including athletics, art, science, computers, writing, crafts, cooking, drama, dance and music classes each day. In addition, there are weekly field trips and memorable traditions, including talent shows, counselor skits, prison ball, BBQ Wednesdays, and more. Activities are designed to encourage creativity, self-confidence, cooperation, risk-taking, and responsibility.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CILT program available for students entering grades 7-9. The CILT program is perfect for students who love the camp experience and want to develop their leadership skills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

US Performing Arts offers programs in Animation, Computer Animation, Costume design, Directing, Film-making (including 4K High-definition), Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Musical Theater, Play-writing, Sit Com Writing, Sit Com Acting, Singing, Voice-over work for animation, movies and games, and we started the first College Audition Boot Camps for high school students.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: A limited number of partial scholarships are available through US Performing Arts. US Performing Arts will also work with parents on payment plans.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: College Audition Boot Camp for High School Seniors held in October-November.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer is the perfect time to catch up and get ahead! At PRIDE Learning Center we offer a fantastic summer program to give students a GIANT boost in their weakest areas. Our summer program is the most popular program of the year! PRIDE'S teachers are all credentialed and certified in Orton-Gillingham methodology.

This intensive one-on-one reading and writing program utilizes our multi-sensory, phonemic, Orton-Gillingham approach that we at PRIDE Learning Center are experts at. This program helps students in a way that a regular summer school program would not. Students progress one entire reading level in 4-5 weeks!

Students attend Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm or 12:30 - 3:30pm.

You can sign up for any weeks between June and August to accommodate busy schedules and traveling families. For best results, we recommend 4-5 uninterrupted weeks.

PRIDE'S fun-filled yet intensive one-on-one reading program has become so popular that we even draw families from all over the globe. Recent students have come to PRIDE from China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, England, Canada, Puerto Rico and Dubai.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 5 acre tree lined property in the middle of the city. It is equipped with an outdoor amphitheater, archery range, low and high ropes course, 17 fire rings, indoor meeting lodge, etc.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Backyard Bunch is a 9 week summer long day camp that runs June 22-August 21 in summer 2015. We offer different age and activity based camps.Please visit our Program Options page on our website for more details.

Day Camp provides a fun filled summer with a wide variety of supervised activities. The program focuses on teaching campers new skills and social development. Backyard Bunch is a unique place where kids of many ages make new friends, explore new and old interests, develop character and build a sense of belonging.

Each session is one week providing an array of indoor and outdoor activities and experiences based on a weekly theme. Our 5 acre facility provides your child a nature based camp experience in the middle of the city.

For over 25 years we have been a proud member of the American Camp Association closely following hundreds of standards for health and safety, and self submitting to accreditation visits.

All of our staff must attend intensive pre-camp training sessions that include: policies and procedures, health and safety, camp activities, appropriate staff and camper interactions, and a variety of other essential skills. Sections of the trainings also provide instruction on how to deal with situations that may occur at camp.

Beyond summer camp, most of our staff work with kids year round within the Long Beach Unified School District After School Programs. They work with kids from a variety of socioeconomic and special needs backgrounds. All of our staff are required to be at least 18 years of age.
