Across all our programs we have one model, built on the pillars of meaningful service, full cultural immersion and open-minded exploration and adventure. This is not a teen tour. This is a time to step outside of yourself, to do more and be more. Our student volunteers work among Blackfeet people on Montana Indian reservations and abroad in South America and the Caribbean.

CAMP FACILITIES: For all of our programs we stay in the heart of the community. Depending on location, we stay in schools, community centers, and rented homes.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For thirty years, VISIONS has set the standard for domestic and international community service programs for high school and middle school students. We strongly believe that collaborative service work and cross-cultural living help our teen volunteers understand a complicated world and learn meaningful ways to contribute productively.

VISIONS collaborates with local nonprofits and makes long-term commitments in our communities. We have worked in all locations for more than 20 years, and in some places for more than 30 years. You typically get to choose from three different worksites during the week, and work until mid-afternoon. Our community service projects are a way we thank the local friends who welcome us into their lives.

Cultural learning and friendship are core to VISIONS. You experience the culture in a way that is unique from being a tourist. You share common goals and work with local people to achieve those goals. You may be surprised by what you have in common with people whose lives are so different from your own.

All of our summer leaders are CPR and First Aid certification and undergo extensive training at the Montana homebase before departing to the program location. All leaders have reference and background checks, extensive training, and first aid certifications at minimum. Leaders include teachers, outdoor educators, Masters and Ph.D. students, returned Peace Corps volunteers, carpenters, and other professionals.

Send your child to one or all four sessions! It is an affordable option for your child in Bozeman! Starting June 13 through August 5th. $149 a day.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located in the Yellow Light District; which is 1.8 miles from the Four Corners intersection, headed towards Big Sky. Take a right on Upper Rainbow Rd., directly taking a right into the parking lot. Look for the yellow neon Flying Lion sign with the antique traffic light with three yellow lights on it.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our multi-functional aerial and dance Studio is a perfect setting for dance and aerial classes, events and kids camp! It is clean and spacious with a large backyard. Lots of mats for tumbling and running around and a kids sprinkler in the back. Along with tables and chairs for science and art projects.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: It is Flying Lion's first year of rolling out a Kids Summer Camp! We are very excited to interact with your child and have them enjoy a summer with us!

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: EXCLUSIVE at FLYING LION Kids Aerial Yoga Rainbow Class or Children on the Spectrum or with Disabilities

We cater to your child's needs. If you have a child who would benefit from a more individualized class setting-we offer The Rainbow Class. This class holds 4 children per class.

Taking place, once a month, an instructor who has experience in working with children with disabilities will lead this 45min class starting with a warm up of the body and vocals. Following some coordination and movements exercises, along with sensory development and experimenting with the fabric of the hammock. To not overload the body with too much stimuli, this class is taught with lights dimmed and music consists of nature sounds, rather than songs. Class ends with lights turned off and a gentle sleepy cool down.

Parents are allowed to participate in class with their child, if you choose to not leave their side. Parents who do so, will not be charged a class fee.

If your financial funds are limited, but you want your hani-capable child to experience an aerial class, we offer the first class at a highly discounted price. Call Flying Lion for more details.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Exclusive to Flying Lion in the Gallatin Valley: We offer Kids Aerial GLOW Yoga in every session of Kids Camp!

With the curtains drawn, a laser light show and color changing lights that bounce to the music your child experiences an unforgettable Aerial GLOW Yoga class at Summer Camp! This class incorporates a little bit of everything; yoga, confidence building, meditation, dancing, games, hammock tricks and flying in the air! The class starts with a warm-up, and peaks with going upside down and finishes with a cool down. It is less structured than an adult class and FUN!

The Power of Crystals and Spirit Animals
Dates: June 13, June 22, July 6, July 29

We welcome your child(ren) to camp by setting an intention for the day in our opening circle along with introductions of the staff and fellow campers, ‘Cubs’. Then we move on to an aerial GLOW yoga class, incorporating a warm-up, hammock tricks and flying in the air. Followed by snack-time. The Cubs jump into the science behind how crystals are formed and put together a kit of crystals of their own liking to take home. During a trading of crystals, the Cubs eat their lunch while they enjoy the outside rays. With the art materials provided, the Cubs each make a totem pole of their favorite spirit animal. The remainder of the time is spent designing their own Flying Lion headband, just in time to make it to the floor for a dance-off before parents arrive. Children get to take home all their projects.

is it so good for us and how to do it at home. Cubs choose to ferment their own veggies or fruit to take home. Lunch is enjoyed outside in the sun. With the art materials provided, The Cubs make colorful necklaces. The remainder of the time is spent designing their own Flying Lion headband or an alternative project, just in time to make it to the floor for a dance-off before parents arrive. Then we move on to an aerial GLOW yoga class, incorporating a warm-up, hammock tricks and flying in the air. Followed by snack-time. The Cubs jump into learning about fruit trees, pollination, and the cycle of the ecosystem. As a group project, we plant a fruit tree in the studio’s backyard and learn the basics on how to care for trees that bear fruit in the cold hardy zone we live in. The Cubs go home with an apple sapling of their own to plant. Lunch is followed by creating bird balls that encourage nesting habits for birds. The remainder of the time is spent designing their own Flying Lion headband or an alternative project, just in time to make it to the floor for a dance-off before parents arrive. Children get to take home all their projects.

The Cubs jump into the beautiful art of Henna temporary tattooing with lunch afterwards, allowing the Henna to dry. A variety of local plants, herbs and non- toxic mushrooms are displayed along with instruction on how to forage in Montana, with an emphasis on never put anything in your mouth without your parents approval. The Cubs pick out a couple grow-your-own mushroom kits and learn how to make their mushrooms ‘flush’.
