BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The ARTS Center of Clemson offers a variety of fun, art-themed day camp activities for ages 3 and up. We provide the class materials, funky art t-shirt, and snacks. Learn to make your own pinhole camera, draw comic books, invent kites and planes, create your own pottery, and so much more! Visit our website, explorearts.org for more info on our week long classes.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located in Clemson, SC just off of Highway 93, and share our facility with two other non-profit organizations. Please visit our website to learn about what The ARTS Center has to offer.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We offer plenty of options to choose from:
All four weeks we have Morning Preschool for ages 3-5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The little artists will explore cutting, pasting, drawing, and painting to express themselves in playful ways!
We also offer classes for ages 6-9 and ages 10+ so that all ages can have fun creating their own masterpieces! There are four classes a week for each age group, with two being in the morning and two in the afternoon. Please visit our website for more detailed information!
Week 1 offers classes for ages 6-9 on comic books; crayon and glue batik; creating paper worlds with creatures that inhabit them; and making alien forms with clay.
Ages 10+ can make clay face jugs and mugs; live action movies; beaded batik; and explore watercolors & oil paints.
Week 2 sees our artists, ages 6-9, working with mixed media to create beautiful paintings; drawing based on themes with everything from colored pencils to pastels; handbuilding with clay; and digital photography.
Ages 10+ can choose from making their own pinhole camera; creating fantastical Viking helmets and swords; drawing comic books; and making clay works on the pottery wheel.
Week 3 has classes for ages 6-9 that offer short live action movie making; creating treasure boxes with clay; using squishy materials to create sculptures; and mixed media to create unique works.
Ages 10+ can look at famous artists and learn from them to create bright pieces of work; make a Japanese styled book; use the wheel to make small pots; and draw and print comics.
Week 4 offers classes for ages 6-9 on art journaling and the science behind works of art; painting anything and everything including rocks, jars, canvases, and shirts; patterned clay pots; and pinhole photography.
Ages 10+ can learn about surrealist art and artists and create their own crazy artwork; use polymer clay to make fun items; immerse themselves in nature through digital photography, or create colorful clay designs on the potter's wheel.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The ARTS Center of Clemson offers year-round adult and youth classes in a variety of mediums.
OTHER CAMP INFO: There will be a camp exhibit to display the camper's art work on Saturday, July 22nd.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Camps are 5 days long. We're offering four weeks of days camps. Morning camps from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and afternoon classes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Week 1: June 19th - 23rd
Week 2: June 26th - 30th
Week 3: July 10th - 14th
Week 4: July 17th - 21st
We are closed the week of July 4th.
