North River Wildlife Sanctuary is in Marshfield, about 30 miles south of Boston on the scenic South Shore of Massachusetts.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: As part of the greater Mass Audubon Camp community, North River Nature Camp is committed to providing genuine nature experiences for children. Our programs are designed to stimulate awareness, appreciation, and responsibility – components necessary for a child to develop an understanding of our place in nature.
We spend the majority of each day exploring the trails and discovering nature through hands-on activities. We get muddy, grass-stained, and breathe lots of fresh air!
We also try to meet the developmental needs of our campers by providing a balance of activities each day. From individual free play to group adventures, we create opportunities for personal growth, social development, and reflection time for campers to become familiar with their own comfort and confidence levels.
More than just a nature camp, we are accredited by the American Camp Association, which commits our camp to follow specific standards, establish procedural guidelines, and stay current with camp and child-related issues – all to ensure we are providing a quality camp experience.
